CIPN Policy on Policy? We need your feedback! What kinds of content would you like on a Policy page?

How do we select, develop, discuss, and analyze injury prevention policy issues using CIPN as a network of injury prevention professionals?  As your network facilitators, we can post information about pending legislation or conferences with a policy agenda that any of you bring to our attention.  But can (or should) we as a network do policy work?

Our initial idea has been that we would work on California injury prevention policy issues, in the kind of way that American Public Health Association's (APHA) sections and caucuses work on policy at the national level.  Being able to do this work was a principal reason for including a members' blog, an on-line bulletin board, in this site.  (Other reasons were to have a place for questions and for quick, inter-active posting of news.)  We might even develop 2 or 3 separate discussion sites, depending on what major interests emerged.
