Injury Prevention Network: The Website for Injury Prevention Professionals |
We are pleased to invite you, as an injury prevention professional, to become a member of the California Injury Prevention Network. Our goal is to enhance the growth of strong statewide leadership for injury prevention in California by building a professional support network and providing resources for self-assessment, training, and leadership development.
The CIPN website provides injury prevention information, resources, news, training materials, job listings, and mentoring opportunities to all interested users.
An exclusive Members Page allows discussion between injury prevention professionals via the CIPN blog. A blog is a non-intrusive medium for communication that does not add to your daily email burden. Hosted by Blogger.com, the most popular and easy-to-use blog-hosting website, the CIPN blog will be shaped by the aspirations and contributions of you and the other professionals in CIPN. This ongoing conversation could include injury prevention topics, injury-related questions and comments, and announcements of upcoming events of interest.
In order to further promote professional relationships, we are building a roster that can only be viewed by other CIPN members from the password-protected Members Page. Listing on the roster is a requirement of CIPN membership, although you need only list your name and email address. Supplying further information is optional, but we invite you to submit your name, job title, employer, work address, phone, email, county, and areas of interest/expertise in your reply email. You may also let us know whether you are willing to be a mentor, would like to find a mentor, or neither.
You must officially request to become a member of CIPN to begin to participate in these opportunities. Simply send us an email stating your intention to join. Include any information that you would like to appear on the CIPN roster. You will then receive emailed instructions for logging onto the CIPN Members Page and blog.
Please feel free to pass on this message to your injury prevention colleagues. In order to receive an invitation to participate, they must contact us by email at injprevnetwork@sfdph.org. Each new member must receive a personal invitation to join CIPN and to participate in the CIPN blog.
Thank you and welcome!
