Alcohol-Related Health Consequences

Roughly a tenth of premature mortality in San Francisco is alcohol-related, and the impact on our health care system is considerable. The SF Police Department expends considerable resources on alcohol-related problems.

More than 60 International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) categories are associated with alcohol. Some of the main ones are depicted in two tables from a forthcoming DPH report.
