healthysf.org is aimed at those of us who live or work in San Francisco. It is operated as a non-profit organization that is trying to use the Web to organize information in ways that will promote health and prevent disease and injury. Some areas of this site are intended for public health workers, clinicians, or researchers, but this information will always be summarized clearly in words that all of us can understand.

Thus far, most of what you find here is based on work that was done at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Eventually, it will contain pages developed by local teachers, students, researchers, and clinicians.

Everyone is welcome to join us.

Most of the pages were developed by Brian Katcher. Many pages that were developed here have been moved to the Department of Public Health's Official website.
